let's celebrate together

It's February 15th, 2020 in San Luis Obispo, CA. Dakota is visiting his friend, Groot, at Cal Poly where Christina is a third year student.

They met at a house party when Dakota spotted Christina across the front yard and decided to come up to her and say he would make a better partner for the game she was playing. His attempt was met with a quick, "no, we're doing just fine."

Intrigued by the denial, Dakota attempts a few more times throughout the evening, even bringing a blanket up to the roof where Christina was watching sunset... and only offering it for her & him to share.

After a few more unsuccessful attempts, we believe the number is around seventeen, he stops approaching Christina. She quickly notices his absence and went looking for him with the excuse of asking where the bathroom is.

​

What happens next might always be a mystery. All we know is they jumped out of a small bathroom window together.

​

Right person, wrong time. It took Dakota and Christina three years to realize this.

​

One hot July afternoon, Christina sees a photo of Dakota for the first time in years. Instinctively, she sends a one word message - "hot" - and the rest is history.
